Our commitment to education extends beyond our main campus in North Little Rock. The Shorter College Prison Education Program (formerly known as the Second Chance Pell Program) offers incarcerated individuals in Arkansas Division of Corrections (DOC) and Arkansas Community Corrections facilities to get a head start on their path to possible.

In partnership with the Department of Corrections and Department of Community Corrections, Shorter College enables student to earn an Associates’ of Arts degree in Business Analytics while incarcerated. This degree offers an introduction to useful business concepts, critical thinking and other transferrable workforce skills. Upon release from any one of our partner facilities, students are able to continue their education on the main Shorter College campus with the support of our trained and experienced Re-Entry staff.”
