The role of the Literacy & Math Lab at Shorter College is to meet studentsâ needs for brainstorming, understanding assignments, and other issues, this center offers THREE METHODS to work with you for your writing assignments:
- Virtual Meetings:Â Connect for live interactions via Online Conferencing Software for sessions with a literacy tutor without leaving your home
- In-Person Meetings:Â On-campus one-on-one meetings with a literacy tutor
- Email Correspondence: A ‘session’ via email correspondence can be held with literacytutors@shortercollege.edu
Our Tutors Can Assist With:
- Understanding the assignment
- Brainstorming ideas â editing, drafting
- Grammar issues â PowerPoint videos
- Paragraph unity and thesis
- MLA and APA format styling
- Works Cited and citations
