Office of Educational AccessHow Do We Help Students?Accommodation Assessments & Documentation Any Shorter College student, faculty or staff member with a documented disability is eligible to receive a Letter of Accommodation. A Letter of Accommodation ensures that you receive federally mandated campus, class and work accommodations. These accommodations ensure that you are successful at school or work. Common accommodations for students include extended test time, additional days to submit assignments, use of assistive technology and more. To set up an appointment reach out to the Office of Educational Access via phone at 501-374-6305 ext. 232, via email at kwilliams@shortercollege.edu or stop by the office in the Sherman Tyree Building Room 100d. Student Success Planning Students with documented disabilities can set up follow-up appointments from 30 minutes to 1 hour. During the meeting, the Office of Educational Access (OEA) staff will meet with the student to ensure they are on track for being academically successful and provide community and campus resources to improve educational outcomes. OEA Staff will work with the student to create a Success Plan. The success plan will identify goals and objectives for the student to achieve to assist with ultimately graduating.
