Jenone Bell

Women’s Head Basketball Coach

Jenone Bell is in her first semester at Shorter College, where she serves as the Athletic Director and Head Women’s Basketball Coach, marking her 25th season as a collegiate coach.

Before joining Shorter College, Bell was the Head Coach at Southeastern Baptist College, where she led the team to a national ranking of 10th in the nation and produced three South-Central All-Region players.

From 2014 to 2017, Bell was the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at St. Gregory’s University, where she guided the team to two postseason conference tournaments. During her tenure, she produced several Sooner All-Conference players and many All-Academic team members.

Bell also spent three seasons at Southern University Shreveport, where she developed several Louisiana All-Conference players. In the 2009-10 season, Bell was named interim head coach early in the season at Lindenwood University and led the Lady Lions to an appearance in the HAAC tournament.

Before her time at Lindenwood, Bell spent 12 years as the assistant basketball coach at Lincoln University (Mo.), where she contributed to the development of numerous All-Conference players and Academic All-Americans. Additionally, she served as the head tennis coach at Lincoln University for 10 years.

Bell’s coaching career also includes stints as an assistant basketball coach at Texas Southern University and California State University San Bernardino, and as a graduate assistant at Kansas State University.

As a student-athlete at Cal State San Bernardino, Bell was a standout player. In her junior year, she led her team to the NCAA West Region playoffs. Upon graduation, she held all of the school’s three-point records and still maintains the record for career three-point field goal percentage with a 38.4 percent mark.

Bell earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Cal State San Bernardino in 1990 and later received her Master’s in Secondary Education from Kansas State University in 1994.

Andre Williams

Men’s Head Basketball Coach

Coach Andre’ J. Williams is the Assistant Athletic Director and Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Shorter College. Coach Williams previously served as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Arkansas Baptist College (ABC) in Little Rock, Arkansas; Southern University Shreveport in Shreveport, LA; Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Southern Arkansas University Tech, and Associate Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Central Baptist College (CBC) in Conway, Arkansas.


Coach Williams is a pioneer in Arkansas collegiate basketball cultivating the first men’s NAIA basketball program at Arkansas Baptist College, Women’s JUCO basketball program at Southern Arkansas University Tech (Hall of Fame Inductee 2019), and men’s basketball program at Shorter College.



In 2019-2020 at Southern University Shreveport, Coach Williams assisted the men’s basketball team to the JUCO regional tournament. During the 2016-2017 season at Central Baptist College, Coach Williams served as the Associate Head Coach for Men’s Basketball and was instrumental in the team winning the NCCAA Central Region Championship with an appearance in the first round of the NCCAA National Tournament. Coach Williams has had the opportunity to coach several players earning honors including Louisiana JUCO Player of the Year, NAIA Honorable Mention All-American and All-AMC Academic team.



Coach Williams received his Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Southern Arkansas University and Bachelor’s in Organizational Management from Philander Smith College. He is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and is married to LaTonda Davis Williams and has one daughter, Aleah Williams.
