Shorter College Success Story: Kyaira Brown

Being named Miss Shorter College 2019-2020 was a crowning achievement, but Kyaira Brown is proving that her full potential is still many chapters to come as she moves on from Shorter College to continue her education.

As a part of the graduating class of Spring 2020, Brown completed her Associate’s of Arts in Criminal Justice this semester, taking no time to pause her pursuits in education, enrolling at the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the Fall of 2020.

While completing her Associate’s Degree and taking on the responsibilities of promoting student life at Shorter College, Brown found time to serve as the Student Government Association (SGA) Secretary, a member of the Criminal Justice Society Group and an Ambassador of the Strong Women Empowerment Program (S.W.E.P.), a student leadership program.

Brown has plans on attending law school and has a very bright future ahead.
